We have been nominated for CE ZA AR 2022
Our newest building, GBC 5, received a nomination for the prestigious CE ZA AR award in the Civil and Industrial Buildings category last year and a nomination for the Dušan Jurkovič Award 2022 this year. This building designed by the architectural studios Architekti Šebo Lichý and ROAR is rightfully our pride.
The most striking feature of the building is the dynamic façade and the changing tectonics of the windows, which help respond to the light conditions and cardinal directions. While in the direction of the Little Carpathians and the northern parts of the city the windows are wider and offer panoramic views, the south side provides dense vertical sunroofs. The west and east facades, on the other hand, have an irregular geometry of window openings with inset façade atriums offering greenery.
The greenery is an integral part of the internal common areas. GBC 5 offers up to 1,150 m2 of exquisite green terraces and loggias, which are perfect for relaxation and have a pleasant effect on tenants and visitors alike.
Also worth mentioning is the interior design of the TakeOff Restaurant&Coffee, which is located within GBC 5. The restaurant and café spaces are divided into a number of operational zones that provide different forms of dining and seating, which is subsequently reflected in the design of the space itself. Each part of the restaurant is visually separated by different floor and wall materials. The variety of flooring, plaster and tiling materials help to better navigate the space and make the overall experience of visiting the restaurant even more enjoyable.
